Rant & Review: "I Don't Know How She Does It"

I went by Redbox last night for a movie to pass the time during our quiet Saturday night at home.  Most everything was checked out, so I ended up with "I Don't Know How She Does It" by default.  I now believe that Sarah Jessica Parker is my doppelganger, only thinner and quirkier.

Advice to My Teenage Self

Remember yesterday, when you were 18 and a size 2 but still thought you were too overweight to wear a bikini?  Oh, if only we would have appreciated it while we had it.  (Sigh.)  If I could sit down with my teenage self, this is what I would tell me:

Yesterday, I got to spend the day with about 300 first graders at the Tulsa Zoo.  It isn't often I get to do that kind of straight-up mom stuff, but I planned ahead and kept my calendar clear and, low and behold, I had a whole day with my baby.

Robbers Cave State Park a/k/a the Day We Pretended to Be Outdoorsy

I hope everyone is surviving the return from Spring Break.  I enjoy Spring Break even though I generally work through it.  There is just something about Mike and the kids being home and getting to run around and have a good time that makes me happy.

Survivor: The Elevator Edition

Last night as I left work, a nice little power surge left me stuck in the elevator for a few minutes.  Fortunately, one of my law partners, Scott, was stuck with me, so there was very little freak-out factor.  Scott is very resourceful and I assumed that if it came down to it, he could fashion some sort of device to free us using his shoelace, a ceiling tile and my iPad charger.
